Major Dhyan Chand Birth Anniversary

1. Dhyan Singh joined the Indian Army at the age of only 16 and started playing hockey there.

2.After India's first match at the Berlin Olympics of 1936, crowds of people started to gather at the hockey ground to watch Dhyan Chand's magical hockey. The headline of a German newspaper was: 'There is now a magic show in the Olympic campus.' The next day, the streets of Berlin were strewn with posters, with the words "Go to the hockey stadium and see the magic of the Indian magician"

3. According to a legend, when Hitler saw Dhyan Chand's magical game against Germany, he offered him to settle in Germany and gave the rank of colonel in his army, but Dhyan Chand smiled and rejected the offer.

4. Although Dhyan Chand played many memorable matches he considered the final match of the 1933 "Beighton Cup", which was played between "Calcutta Custom" and "Jhansi Heroes", considered it as his best match.

5.In the Summer Olympics of 1932, India defeated the United States and Japan 24–1 and 11–1 respectively. Of these 35 goals, Dhyan Chand scored 12 goals while his brother Roop Singh scored 13 goals. Due to this spectacular performance, both brothers came to be known as "Hockey Twins".

ದೇವರು ತಾನು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಇರಲಾರೆ ಎಂದೇ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೇವೆ ಬಹುಷಃ ದೇವರು ಇದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಧನನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿರಬಹುದು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? ಒಂದೊಂದು ಬಾರಿ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಹೀಗೇ ದನಿಯೊಂದು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತದೆ ದೇವರೇ ಯೋಧನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರೋ ಅಥವಾ ಯೋಧನೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ದೇವರೊ? ಮನದೊಳಗಿನ ಭೂಕಂಪ, ಪ್ರವಾಹದ ಸಂಕಟದಿಂದ ಪಾರು ಮಾಡುವವ  ಚೈತನ್ಯವು ದೇವರಾದರೆ  ಸುರಿಯುವ ಮಳೆ, ಭೋರ್ಗರೆದು ಹರಿಯುವ ಹೊಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಯೋಧನೂ ದೇವರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನೀಡಿದ ಒಂದಗಳು ಅನ್ನಕ್ಕೂ ಒಲಿಯುವ ಕರುಣಾಮಯೇ ದೇವರು ಎಂದಾದರೆ ನೀವೆಸೆದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಗಾಯ ಮಾಸುವ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಧಾವಿಸುವ ಯೋಧ ದೇವರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಸಂಕಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೆನೆಯುತ್ತೇವೆ ವಿಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಯೋಧರ ನೆನೆಯುತ್ತೇವೆ ಹೃದಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೋಧನೂ ದೇವರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಭಗವಂತನಿಗೆ ಹಲವರು ಸ್ವರೂಪಗಳಿವೆ ಆದರೆ ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಿ ಬರಬಹುದು ಆದರೆ ಯೋಧರ ಹೃದಯದ ಬಡಿತ ಹೇಳುವ ಶಬ್ದ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಭಗವಂತನ ಅವಕೃಪೆಗೆ ಭಯಬೀಳುವ ನಮಗೆ, ಯೋಧನಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಗೌರವದ ಪರಿವೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಾಗಬಹುದೇ? ಆದರೂ ಯೋಧ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಹನೆ? ಮನದ ಮೂಲೆಯ ಆತ್ಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಕೇಳು ಯೋಧ ದೇವರಲ್ಲವೇ?
